Our choice for the first release in N scale of the Bedford/Lomas Ambulance is as used by the Herefordshire County Council Ambulance Service, which comes in dark blue – an unusual colourway, as the usual schemes were white and cream. It is registered LCJ 481F. The level of detail is as high on the model in this scale as on its 1:76 counterpart; including the County Council coloured crest on the sides, gold lettering and pale blue wheel inserts. Notice too the instruction in red out of white on the window ‘Pull Down to Open’.
